didn't believe in hell and other traditional christian beliefs that he grew up around.

so he read a lot, and got exposed to a lot of ideas.

he was powerful, tall and intelligent, yet humble and kind.

he was an introvert, and a circuit overseer.

Still no pant suits, for sisters

i was watching the cnn this evening..watched hilliary clinton walk towards some dignataries in a foreign land.

i saw that she was well dressed in a pant suit.

she is the us secretary of state, and what she wore was dignified.

No pant suits for women.

No beards for brothers.

It's not modest and well-arranged.

Pay no attention to the US Secretary of State who wears pant suits or the US Chairman of the Federal Reserve who has a neatly trimmed beard.

At the age of 48 I just graduated with my BA degree from college and I am on top of the world

i thought i would never get my college degree from a university in this century at the age of 48 but i did it and graduated with an "a-" average.

i did this all the while working a full time job and going to school full time.

it can be done and now i love school to death.

I was content with my B.A. (Bachelor of Awake!) for the first few decades of my life.

I'm now working on my M.A. ( Master of Apostasy ).

But someday I'd like to be a PhD. ( Pretty holistic dude. )

here is a (transcribed) letter that all elders received regarding the elder school of 2012. the emphasis is not mine.. this letter is your invitation to attend the school for congregation elders at the location and dates shown below:.

please acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this invitation by completing and returning the enclosed confirmation form to the school for congregation elders desk using the enclosed pre-addressed envelope.

this should be returned no more than two weeks after receipt of this letter.

School Overseer just passed out doing the school!

ok so i tie into the meeting just to hear if something new is being said during the announcements and i tied in early tonight.

well the school overseer apparently just passed out 10 minutes ago.

i thought my phone line had gone down but then the po's cboe's elder's son went on with the meeting.

i have often thought that many are people who just do not want to work.

however, i am starting to wonder if i ought to: and how much to give?.

I'm with Shelby. If I give it, there's no strings attached. If it buys them a drink or some other fix, that's their choice.

it has been a hellacious five years for many in my family...especially my poor jw wife who could almost walk on water damm it...she is a saint.....and i so hate i have hurt her in so many ways....and i mean that.....but it has hell for me too since third grade as i never fit in..... or 1995 or both of course...that damm generation of 1914 thingy being kicked to the curb..... and me knowing it was now all bs since then just as i thought it was before......you mean really???

?......you mean i actually am going to grow old and die?!?!?

...but 5 years ago today, i made my first post here on jwn.. .

i was an elder, had a true-believing jw wife and our unbaptized publisher children were beginning to feel pressure from other jws to take the plunge.. .

amazing how much can happen in 5 trips around the sun.. .

Our situations are pretty different though and awakening your wife might actually not be the best thing for your particular situation.
